We believe in bringing on the most talented people and offering them the opportunity for a long-term career at Centerview. Just as our approach to client relationships takes a long-term perspective, so too does our approach to developing our bankers. We offer a summer internship to college juniors and hire full-time analysts who start after college graduation. We recruit formally on a number of undergraduate campuses as well as informally from a broad range of schools, for both summer and full-time analyst positions, and also in the marketplace for full-time analysts. Additionally, we formally recruit summer and full-time associates (and more senior hires) from graduate business programs.

We believe diversity is critical in helping us provide the best advice to our clients, so we work actively to foster an environment that is supportive and inclusive of a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. We are open to candidates from all schools and academic disciplines and with various work experience. That includes those with limited or no exposure to the finance and advisory profession, as we believe this knowledge can be taught to anyone with passion and drive.

Long-Term Growth

Unlike other investment banking firms, our hope is that our analysts will choose to stay with us and, as a result, we commit additional resources to provide an experience that is head-and-shoulders above traditional two-year programs. Similarly, with associate hires, we strive to provide a long-term career path.

Training

Once analysts and associates have joined the firm, we provide initial training that is focused on taking individuals with high levels of intellectual curiosity and diligence and providing them with a solid foundation in practical finance. We then bring them onto our teams to begin learning the skills they will need to be in the top-tier of business professionals as their careers progress. We offer continuing educational programs to supplement skills learned on the job, and movement within the firm as well.

We offer programming through resource groups to enrich our entire firm, and regularly host events with leading figures to discuss topics ranging from geopolitics to healthcare and art, in furtherance of our belief in developing balanced, worldly professionals.
