Adam Bird has spent his career advising the top management of the most disruptive and disrupted companies on their most critical business issues. He has 30-plus years of experience in Europe, the U.S., the Middle East, Latin America and Asia, advising companies and investors in most major media, entertainment and consumer-technology segments including direct-to-consumer services, connectivity, broadcasting, consumer publishing, gaming, e-commerce, advertising, filmed entertainment, music and sports.
Prior to joining Centerview as a Senior Advisor, Mr. Bird was a Senior Partner and the Global Leader of McKinsey & Company’s Consumer Tech & Media practice, which he co-founded. He also served as a member of the Senior Partner Committee and co-led a review of the firm’s governance. He was one of the few people to be elected directly to the McKinsey senior partnership.
Prior to joining McKinsey in 2009, Mr. Bird served in several leadership positions at Booz Allen Hamilton including Senior Partner, Managing Director of the Global Consumer and Media practices and a member of the Board of Directors.
Mr. Bird moved to Europe more than 30 years ago to co-found an advisory firm, which has since been sold to Cap Gemini.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of Sunrise Communications and serves as a trustee of the Paley Center for Media.
Mr. Bird has an honors degree from the College of Social Studies at Wesleyan University, where he is now a trustee.
