Skip Paul, Senior Advisor, has more than 30 years experience operating at the highest levels of the media and entertainment industry, where he has achieved success across an array of sectors from motion picture and video games to theme parks and social networking companies. Mr. Paul brings to Centerview successful transactional and operational experience working with both established and emerging companies and management teams. In addition to start-up ventures and recent merger and acquisition involvement with companies including DreamWorks Animation, Legendary Pictures, News Corp. and Viacom, the historic $6 billion sale of entertainment giant MCA to Matsushita Electric is a notable early pact Mr. Paul helped to engineer.

Mr. Paul started his business career at Atari, where he rose to President of the Atari Coin-operated Game Company. Mr. Paul subsequently served as President of MCA Enterprise and Executive Vice President of MCA Inc., co-founder (along with Steven Spielberg) and Chairman of Sega Gameworks, Chairman of IFILM, and interim CEO of National Golf Properties.

Mr. Paul has held board positions at companies including MCA Inc. (NYSE), National Golf Properties (NYSE), AMC Entertainment (AMEX), Entertainment Properties Trust (NYSE), Cineplex Odeon (NYSE), Interplay Productions – Video Games (NASDAQ), the 3DO Company (NASDAQ), and Dave.com. Mr. Paul is active in numerous charitable organizations including as founder of the John Paul Stevens Foundation now in more than 20 law schools. He also was a founding member of the board of the Shoah Foundation, which was founded by Steven Spielberg. Mr. Paul also serves on the Board and executive committee of Los Angeles 2028 which secured the Olympics for Los Angeles in 2028.

Mr. Paul was educated at Stanford University, received his J.D. from the University of Santa Clara and served as a law clerk to Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens.
