James Kearney is a Partner at Centerview Partners, focusing on Equity Capital Solutions within the Capital Advisory practice. He has over twelve years of capital markets experience, working with companies and sponsors across various industries and geographies to evaluate capital structures, assess financing alternatives and raise equity & equity-linked capital in both the public and private markets.

Selected experience while at Centerview includes advising Sixth Street on its investment into EdgeConneX, Informatica’s follow-on equity offering, Penguin Solutions’ convertible preferred placement, HarmonyCares’ growth capital round, Gates Industrial’s follow-on equity offering, PepsiCo’s investment into CELSIUS Energy Drinks, GoHealth’s convertible preferred placement, Li-Cycle’s convertible note placement, Oscar Health’s convertible note placement, Bloom Energy’s convertible preferred placement and Avantor’s follow-on equity offering, among others.

Prior to joining Centerview in 2021, he was an Executive Director in the Capital Solutions Group at Moelis & Company.

Mr. Kearney has an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and an A.B. from Harvard College. He lives in New York City with his wife and three children.
