Josh Boyd is a founding member of Centerview Partners with almost 25 years of investment banking experience. He has completed over $280 billon of transactions across a broad range of industries, including buy-side and sell-side mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, divestitures, special committee assignments, shareholder activism defense, restructurings and minority close-outs, as well as strategic advisory assignments. In addition, Mr. Boyd co-heads the Special Committee and Board Advisory practice at Centerview.
Selected recent special committee assignments include the following: Charter Communications on its $16bn acquisition of Liberty Broadband, Squarespace on its $7bn sale to Permira; PowerSchool on its $6bn sale to Bain Capital; Endeavor on its $25bn sale to Silver Lake; Agiliti on it’s $2.5bn sale to THLee, HireRight on its $1.7bn sale to General Atlantic and Stone Point, Sovos Brands on its $2.7bn sale to Campbell Soup, Weber on its $3.7bn sale to BDT Capital Partners and Tripadvisor on its $435mm acquisition of Liberty TripAdvisor.
Other noteworthy transactions include the following: Cerner on its $29bn sale to Oracle, TowerBrook and Clayton Dubilier & Rice on their $9bn acquisition of R1 RCM; R1 RCM on its $4bn acquisition of Cloudmed; Anixter on its $5bn sale to WESCO; Henry Schein on the spin-off and merger of its animal health business with Vets First Choice in a $4bn Reverse Morris Trust transaction; CB&I on its $6bn merger with McDermott International; Kraft Foods on its $22bn acquisition of Cadbury; Omnicare on its $13bn sale to CVS Health; Waste Management on its $5bn acquisition of Advanced Disposal Services, its acquisition of Deffenbaugh Disposal from aPriori Capital and its $2bn sale of Wheelabrator to Energy Capital Partners; Air Methods on its $2.5bn sale to American Securities; and Permira on its $2bn sale of Intelligrated to Honeywell.
Prior to joining Centerview Partners at its inception, he was a member of Lazard Frères & Co. and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein.
Mr. Boyd holds an A.B. from Stanford University. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Castle Athletics, Inc., a not-for-profit organization in New York City.
