Over the last 15 years, Mr. Pasqual has advised close to 100 completed transactions in the consumer, luxury, media/tech, hospitality and energy industries for corporate and private equity clients.
Mr. Pasqual notable transactions while at Centerview include:
- In consumer & luxury: the $2.5bn acquisition of Aesop by L’Oréal, the €9bn buyback of its own shares from Nestlé by L’Oréal, the €500m opening of the share capital of Christian Louboutin to Exor (investment company controlled by the Agnelli family), the disposal of AMI PARIS to Sequoia Capital
- In media and tech: the $1bn disposal of Valtech to BC Partners, the acquisition of Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B by Mediawan, the €1.5bn minority stake disposal to CVC in its media rights subsidiary by LFP (French professional football league), the combination of Deezer with the I2PO SPAC, the €1bn public offer on Mediawan by its founders and KKR, the €8bn purchase of Nets by Nexi, the disposal of football club Racing Club Strasbourg Alsace to a consortium led by Clearlake Capital (also owner of Chelsea Football Club)
- In hospitality: the reorganization of Accor into two business legs Luxury&Lifestule and Premium, Midscale & Economy, the disposal by Accor of a minority stake in a newly created lifestyle entity to Qatari investors on the basis of a €2bn EV
- In other industries: the €10bn acquisition of New Suez by a consortium of investors (GIP, Meridiam and Groupe Caisse des Dépôts), the acquisition of AD Education by Ardian, the €1.5bn combination between Derichebourg Multi Services and Elior, the disposal of a €3bn stake in Suez by Engie, the acquisition of Elsan by KKR
Prior to joining Centerview in 2020, Mr. Pasqual was an Executive Director at Lazard in Paris, which he joined in 2007 and where he has advised numerous transactions for the largest French corporate and PE clients. Mr. Pasqual joined Centerview in order to participate to the opening of its Paris office and to the development of Centerview Partners activities in France and in Continental Europe. Pierre Pasqual is a graduate of École Polytechnique (X) and HEC. He lives in Paris with his wife and three children.
